Cancellation and Rescheduling – General Information

Cancellation by You

I believe in having a simple, clear policy when it comes to cancellation and rescheduling of appointments. This helps prevent any confusion. Please note that using social media (Facebook, Instagram etc) is not acceptable as a suitable method of cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. You should cancel or reschedule using the booking system or if that is not possible, by telephoning me or sending me an email.

You must give at least 48-hours’ notice. Failure to attend an appointment will be charged at full price, with no refund available.

Cancellation by London Massage 4U

In the unfortunate event that I have to cancel your appointment, I will give you as much advance warning as possible. Where possible, you will be able to reschedule your appointment for a later date, or if that is not possible, a full refund will be offered.

What Is Deep Tissue Massage?

Deep Tissue Massage targets the deeper layers of muscle, fascia and connective tissue.
It works slowly and precisely to release tight areas, break down adhesions and improve circulation in the muscles that feel stiff or overloaded.

This is not a “spa massage” — it’s a focused, therapeutic session designed to correct muscular imbalance and restore natural movement.

Who Is This Treatment For?

Deep Tissue Massage is especially effective for people experiencing:

  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Posture-related pain from computer work
  • Migraines and tension headaches
  • Tight upper back
  • Lower back stiffness
  • Sciatica-related discomfort
  • Restricted mobility
  • Muscle fatigue from training
  • Stress-related tightness

If you often feel “knots”, heaviness, pressure or pulling sensations, this treatment can help.

What Areas I Typically Work On

Depending on your symptoms, I may focus on:

  • Neck and shoulders

  • Upper back and shoulder blades

  • Lower back and hips

  • Glutes and hamstrings

  • Arms and forearms (for desk workers)

Every session is fully tailored to what your body needs most.

How Deep Tissue Massage Works

During the treatment I use:

  • Slow, deep pressure

  • Myofascial release

  • Muscle Energy Techniques (MET)

  • Trigger point work

  • Stretching and mobilisation

  • Deep work on knots and adhesions

These techniques help release long-standing tightness, improve flexibility and reduce pain patterns created by stress or posture.

Benefits of Deep Tissue Massage

  • Reduces chronic neck and shoulder pain

  • Improves posture and mobility

  • Releases deep muscular tension

  • Helps with headaches and migraines

  • Supports lower back pain and sciatica

  • Improves circulation

  • Reduces stress and nervous system overload

  • Helps restore natural breathing and relaxation

Most clients feel lighter and freer immediately after the session.

What to Expect During Your Session

  • A short consultation to understand your symptoms

  • Tailored treatment based on your pain areas

  • Deep but controlled pressure (always within your comfort level)

  • Work on areas contributing to your pain, even if they seem unrelated

  • A calm, quiet environment to unwind

  • Optional stretching or mobility work at the end

Oil is used on the back, shoulders and neck.

How Many Sessions Will You Need?

Many clients feel improvement after one session.
For long-standing or severe tightness, 2–4 sessions spaced weekly create the best results.

Maintenance can be once every 2–4 weeks depending on your lifestyle.
